Update: January 2008
Hi everyone, 2007 was a big year for us.  Moved to Raleigh, NC.  I am teaching yoga still, here in the "big city'.  Michael became frustrated with corporate games and started another business (yeah!).  Daniel, our son, is still living in Boulder, CO and now selling for Michael's business.   Wishing you all a happy, healthy and peaceful 2008.

--------------------------------------
Hello everyone! I’m not sure what I was thinking when I picked that yearbook quote. I was probably trying to go for Deep and Profound. I have been married for 23 years to Michael Hurwitz (WHS ’79). He told me before we got married that life with him would never be dull, and he was right! We are now living in Central Florida in a small town that reminds us of New England, with tall trees and hills and lakes (unique for Florida). There is a close knit community of people here, and we have an active social life. I started practicing yoga 13 years ago and have been teaching it for 6 years. I love teaching, and I feel like I get more from my students than they get from me! I have done some writing, mostly for myself, and have not been published, mostly because I haven’t pursued the business of selling writing seriously. I volunteer in my community for several organizations. After years of being an entrepreneur, owning several businesses, Michael recently accepted a position with Easiwrap International. He is enjoying being an employee and having other people handle the headaches for a change! He also volunteers around town, mostly as an auctioneer for charitable causes. He loves to perform, and sings with some local bands when he gets a chance. Our son Daniel is 22 years old. He moved to Boulder, CO almost 2 years ago and works for an organization called Environment Colorado, a division of CO-PIRG. He does street canvassing and fundraising. Basically, he talks to people all day, which is one of his greatest gifts- strangers become his friends within minutes of talking to him. He’s smart and funny and fun to be around, and we’re so lucky to have him for a son! We see him every two months or so, he comes to Florida or we go to Boulder. We just adopted another dog from the pound. She was about to be destroyed the day we got her. She is a Corgi/Dachshund mix and her name is Moxie. The name fits her perfectly! We are having a lot of fun with her, she keeps us laughing every day. My sisters are both doing fine. My older sister Laura lives in Westchester County, NY and has 3 teenagers. My younger sister Janice lives in CT and just had her 4th child last month. She is a nurse in the neonatal ICU at Norwalk Hospital. I will probably have to miss the reunion this time, but have a great time! Diana Hurwitz

Hey everyone. Looking forward to having a blast at the reunion. Here's the quick and dirty on me: Graduated from Lynchburg College in 85 (with several WHS classmates), met my husband Jeff that summer. Married in 1987 (19 years now) have two boys Chris (15) and Andrew (12) and reside in Brookfield. I've been in the financial consulting area my entire career mostly working in Norwalk. (Got to love that Route 7 commute, I guess) Love my husband, boys, and even my career, truely blessed.

Should be fun and great to see old pals!

After almost 20 years of corporate sales (wireless communications and a professional hockey team), I moved to Martha's Vineyard about a year ago.  I am working in the commercial lending department of the Islands largest bank and really enjoying it.  More importantly, the Island is surrounded by water (populated with lots of fish) and beaches (also populated with fun things to try to catch). My parents are fine and living on the Cape, sisters and their families great too.
I am looking forward to seeing some old friends and catching up; if you're planning to be on the Vineyard this summer,  let me know!  Great job Carol, George and Rick on putting it all together.  CHEERS

Congrats to George and his helpers for putting together great plans and a wonderful site full of memories. Living in Redding, CT, it's a kick to occasionally bump into WHS folks. It'll be way more fun to see them all in one room!

Like most of us, I was ready to get out of Wilton and do some city living after graduation, so I chose Simmons College in Boston. As a women's college, Simmons was a big adjustment (what, no football games and majorettes??) but I got involved in student government, did a bunch of internships, and graduated with a BA in Communications.

With no apartment and little money, I headed back to mom and dad's house in Wilton, and got a job at Pepsi working on promotions for the Tina Turner tour sponsorship. The fact that my boyfriend of two years lived in Wilton had nothing to do with my return home (ha). Full credit goes to Paul Orvis ('80) for inviting my future husband, Penn Johnson, to a summer party where we met beside a keg!

Penn and I married in 1989. His family had moved to Wilton while he was in college and he had met Paul through Wilton Playshop. Penn is an economics graduate of the University of Chicago, has the math brain I'll never have, and a heart of gold. We’ve been living in Redding since 1991. He is the president of Stamford Mortgage Company, a full service mortgage broker serving customers throughout Connecticut. Stamford Mortgage was launched ten years ago with only one employee – Penn, and me as the marketing consultant. Thankfully, rates have been great, and so has business!

I’ve worked primarily in real estate and financial marketing since my Pepsi days, the largest chunks of time with People's Bank, the Business Council of Fairfield County, and as a freelance marketing consultant. I stopped freelancing a few years ago and now work part-time as marketing manager for Stamford Mortgage. I commute to Stamford a few days a week, but otherwise am available for shlepping our kids to soccer and baseball, and squeezing in some tennis.

Our daughter, Christina, is in the middle school in 6th grade, and our son, Andrew, is in 2nd grade. They are great kids and we are blessed. My parents still live in Wilton and are very active - bicycling with groups several days a week, anywhere from 18 to 40 miles each time out (!) and skiing in the winter. Penn's parents live in Newport and Palm Beach, and we spend several weekend summers in Newport each year.

I am looking forward to having Wendy, Melanie and Jenny bunking at my house and to visiting with lots of '81 grads over Reunion Weekend!

Hey Everyone! I hope that the years for the most part have been good to you all. I am fortunate to still consider my best friends to be from 'back in the day', such as my main confidante Melissa Palmer, and Gail (Siebert) Hiestand, Kristi Colburn, Katie Valentine, Lisa (Cerreghini) Lersner. Although I don't see them as often as I wish I did, we have seen each other through marriages (and divorces), kids, family members passing. That's what friends are for. I have been married for 15 years now. My husband, Tom, and I moved to Shelton, CT when we had Erin, now 11. Emily is 6. It seems to me that these kids lead a much more active life that I ever did! I have been working at Advanced Radiology (Cat scan) for 3 1/2 years. I like work - you make more friends that way! As I was telling George, I don't really feel too much differently than I did when I was in my 20's - I still enjoy having fun. I have seen alot of you throughout the years, but I am sure having fun reading the bios and seeing all the pix - keep them coming! I hope to see many of you in October. - Lisa

From Robert:
After 25 years, it has been nice reading about all of you at this site. Thanks, George, for all your hard work rounding us up. I will have to add more later, but for now, I will give a quick sketch. After we all graduated, I went to Purdue and got a math degree. I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted to do, as long as I didn't have to work on computers all day. Well, here I am after 20 years of being a software designer! I met my wife in college. We recently celebrated our 20th with a cruise (our first). But I think my parents were glad when we got back since they had our 5 sons. My youngest is 7 and my oldest will turn 17 this year. It makes me feel old! But back to my history. After college it took me a year to get a "real" job in California. About 15 years ago we moved to Georgia where we still are. Work keeps me very busy. I left Lockheed for a short time a few years back to work at the Home Depot (no, not in hardware, just software). But came back when I found the grass wasn't greener on the other side after all. If I can swing it, I would like to see you all in October. We will see. Take care, and happy 25th!!!

(Note: When I told Bob he might just win the prize for biggest change from "Then" to "Now", he replied that it was early and I hadn't seen everbody else's photo yet--then I found this picture of him at a costume party in high school, and concluded he was onto something....)
