Occupation: Dog Trainer & Behavior
Consultant Website: www.allgooddogs.biz Marital Status: Committed Relationship From Amy: I've enjoyed reading about what's been going on for the last 25 years. I still can't believe it's 25! I graduated early from WHS so I'm missing the official yearbook picture, but having grown up in class of 81, that's where I belong. After WHS, I got my B.S. from NYU where I studied recording engineering. I ended up working as a producer at CBS Records in time in the eighties. I spent ten years there working mostly on box sets, compilations, and career retrospectives. During that time, I married, had a step daughter, and then divorced. My ex since passed away. That's about the time I moved to had been working regularly in out there called The Mastering Lab. That's where I met Gavin who I have been with about thirteen years now. He was and still is a mastering engineer there. During my bi-coastal work year, I got a job offer from Motown Records to work on more box sets, and so I moved to Actually, my whole music business experience was great fun. I worked with so many artists that were my musical heroes. It was extremely rewarding. As corporate business. There were mergers, lay offs, restructures, etc. I avoided all of these things, but when Motown decided to move to moved me to experiences. Following my departure from Motown, I freelanced as a producer, did music consulting, business consulting, strategic planning, organizational development, and finally started a consulting business. Hated it. My business partner and I saw a growing pet industry in business. It was through this pet business that I started dog training. I then opened my own shop, All Good Dogs where I offer obedience training and behavior consulting. The pet dog business then led to working with K9s. I adopted a destructive young pup from a client and turned her into a working dog, training her in detection, personal protection and sheepherding. I was then hooked on working dogs, and now in addition to pet dog training, I training explosives and narcotics detection dogs. That's about the work low down. My personal life is great. Still with the same guy, thinking about kids...we'll see where it all leads. Looking forward to hooking up with everyone in I'll be staying with family since my parents still live in |

Occupation: Land Development Manager
Marital Status: Married From David: Wow George, thanks for putting this site together, it is really cool to see how all of you have fared over the years. Also a very belated thank you, for letting me camp in your dorm room that first semester at UMCP. Seems I drove you to leave Maryland, but it sounds like things worked out pretty well for you. Months passed before I heard about Scott Pressler. We were the best of friends once. We spent summers swimming in our pond, smearing ourselves with mud like swamp monsters or testing our balance on the rocks in the Silvermine River. In Winter I skated circles around Scott while he figured out how to get his blades under him. On rainy days we watched Godzilla vs. Mothra or Planet of the Apes on the 4:30 Movie, other times we sat at his kitchen table, Scott drawing amazing imaginary cartoon characters while his mother Jan gave us “the talk” and told us about contraception. Through Middlebrook we grew apart and by ’81 we hardly ever spoke. I regret that we never had the chance to remember those days, but I am glad to know that he had a good life and was loved by so many. Four years after last imposing on George I graduated with a B.S. in Horticulture. That summer I rode the railways across much of the UK and Europe. By Fall, I was ready to get serious about my education. In the first week at Cornell I met my future bride. Two years later she had her Master of Landscape Architecture and we were married. A year later I had mine and we were off, Ivory tower diploma in hand to conquer the world. Life happened and today we are 14 year residents of Atlanta, Colleen works at an international management consulting firm, and I work for the nation’s largest home builder as a Land Development Manager. Basically, that means instead creating beautiful landscapes, I use my education to figure out how to undo nature’s handiwork and turn it into suburban nirvana as efficiently as possible. Along the way I chaired a committee that helped designate Grant Park the largest historic district in the city. We work now to support our travel habit; mostly visiting national parks all over the U.S. and Canada. In March, I saw my doctor for a nagging chest cold. A week later he told me I might have a rare type of leukemia and referred me to a Hematologist-Oncologist, but told me little else. I Googled CML and spent the next two weeks contemplating how to spend the last 3-5 years of my life. A few days later I read something about a drug called Gleevec. The H-O confirmed that this was now the standard treatment. It is truly a miracle drug. I am progressing well, with few side effects and expect to live a long time taking this or newer pills the rest of my life. Here comes the soap box speech . . . I had no idea I was that sick, so please, if you have not seen your doctor in more than a year, go now. I won’t make it to the reunion, but would enjoy catching up with many of you. If you ever find yourself in the ATL, look me up or send an e-mail. |

Occupation: architect
Marital Status: Single From Bettina: Wow! It'll be great to see older old friends again! Sorry about the lack of pics - I don't look that much different than I did in HS, sadly enough. Well since then, I went to Skidmore, graduated from Hampshire College. I've lived in NYC, Boston and now Portland, OR. I've worked in medical publishing, advertising and architecture. I moved to the misty pacific NW to do a Master of Architecture at the Univ. of Oregon. Graduated and have been here ever since. While love has been tough, I do have a wonderful black lab, Sophie. Oregon has great coffee, microbrews, hazlenuts, and Pinot Noir. It's close to the ocean and mountains, and the air is fresher and the traffic less congested than the east coast. No sales tax, too! For kicks and giggles I hike in the Columbia River gorge, run, ski/snowboard, in-line skate, ride a Ducati 900 ss/sp (that's a motocycle), and meditate. That's the nutshell for now. Looking forward to seeing all of you! |
