From Timothy:
Shortly after graduating from Hamilton, I went to New York to work with Hyatt Hotels, where I met my future wife Choosri. As a trainee just a few months ahead of her, it fell to me to show her the ropes. While I may have taught her a thing or two, what she has imparted to me about everything else is so much more important, especially through the rough patches. I hate to think of where I’d be without her. I soon figured out, however, that the hotel business just wasn’t going to cut it for me. So I went into banking, NYU’s MBA program, and then equity research on Wall Street, covering REITs. Choos and I were married in the midst of all that – 15 years ago now! At the time, we two dinc’s had wonderful experiences in and around NYC, among them many pleasant hours spent in the company of Tom Cain and his lovely wife Sharon. Back then, we lived in Jersey City and then Hoboken, where I used to run into Kyle from time to time. Same gentle, kind soul he ever was. Like everyone else who knew him, I always liked him, and so I am not surprised to see the heartfelt expressions of regard people had for him. Years later, we rode together on the train to CT on 9/11, both trying to take in what had just happened. Along with thousands of others, he had walked to 125th Street, not knowing how much further he’d need to get on his own. We were both working for Wall Street firms but thankfully in midtown by that time. Only saw him once more after that, as we let our kids run around the Children’s Museum in Norwalk. He seemed quite happy then. While at NYU, I was lucky enough to run into Keith Olsen, and we helped each other get through that grind, working on a number of projects together. Not knowing much about real estate when I started covering REITs on Wall Street, I eventually figured out that Keith is one of the smartest real estate finance guys out there. Now he’s one of the masters of the universe over at powerhouse BlackRock. I always learn something talking to him, and there’s always something to talk about in our business. Having this common interest has cemented and renewed our friendship. Keith has been kind enough to host me this weekend, at his home around the corner from the Riding Club, which I hope will avoid any encounters with the law! By the time I finished b-school and went to work downtown for the first time, the nesting instinct was settling in, and Stephanie was born almost ten years ago. Hoboken, with a mode of 20-somethings and more bars per capita than any place else in the world, was no place to rear up children, so we headed north, first to Westchester and then to Marvin Beach in Norwalk. Wonderful place for a family – great little neighborhood on the east side of Norwalk Harbor – good people from all walks, the ebb and flow of the tides, picturesque activity in and out of the harbor. Stephanie became my constant sailing partner, during many expeditions on what some have termed my Water World boat. She don’t look like much, but she screams in the slightest breeze. We have since had two more children, Lucas now 8, and Jacob 6. All three such a blessing, I couldn’t be more proud. Work took me to Chicago four years ago. I have since changed jobs, electing to stay in Chicago. I’m now working in the real estate industry I have covered for years, with General Growth Properties, one of the great mid-western success stories of the last 50 years, and such a refreshing change from the institutional world. You may know GGP as the owner and operator of South Street Seaport and Faneuil Hall, but there’s so much more to the story. We settled in Lake Forest about 30 miles north of Chicago, an easy commute by New York standards, but far enough out to have something like that famous “rural quality” that makes Wilton so special. My brother Chris (’83) has been in the area for about a dozen years. He always said that if I really considered making the move, I’d love it, and he was right. While he and I have always stayed close, visiting with him more regularly these last few years has been a real Godsend during this transition. A former golf pro, he now hangs his shingle as a broker with UBS in Naperville, a tony suburb west of Chicago that fields a hundred soccer teams on Saturdays. His real love, though, is coaching football in closer-in Hinsdale, which often fields regional champions at the grade school and high school level. Those of you who went through Wilton’s Pop Warner program may remember Mr. Salvage fondly, and I think Chris provides that kind of powerful experience for the kids he coaches. John Alexander and I had kept up occasionally when I was on the East Coast, and now that we are a few hours away from his home in Michigan, we see each other more often. I think John gets the least aged award – looks exactly the same as his HS picture (and retains all of his boyish charm). He’s hosted us for everything from canoe trips to beach excursions to skiing, all within a short drive from his place in Grand Rapids. Finally, and true to form, my brother found Pete Clough at a bar in Naperville. After Pete moved from Philly, we lost track of each other, and it has been great getting back together with him. When he visited with us this summer, our boys had lots of fun playing together at the beach. Sadly, and shortly after Pete and I saw each other for the first time in years, we learned of our friend Mike’s recent passing. George’s account of Mike was really kind – I really appreciate you sharing that, George; it reminded me a side of him that I had largely forgotten. Mike did indeed have heart, I tell you. And man, how we laughed together back in the day! He really knew how to shake things up, to get things rolling, always the dynamo, the instigator, the wild man. Courageous to a fault, but since he could talk his way out of (or into) almost anything, it was usually just good clean fun. I’ll take the fifth on specifics. He also never passed up an opportunity to cheer up a friend, or challenge him. Mike, you may be gone, but you are not forgotten. RIP, my friend. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you again. In the mean time, safe travels.

From Jenny:
Since 1981 ... I graduated early and spent the Spring in Italy, then went to Bryn Mawr College. Spent a year in DC, then went to U. of Chicago law school. I clerked for a federal judge in Tulsa, OK (kind of like a year abroad), then returned to DC. For the last 15 years, I've worked for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission doing employment discrimination litigation at the appellate level. Outside of work, I got very into the fringe sport of ultimate frisbee when I moved to DC. Met my husband at an ultimate tournament (I was drawn to him because he was one of the only other nerdy Jewish lawyers playing!). I still play ultimate, though chasing speedy young twenty-somethings down the field is getting old. More my speed of late is coaching - I coach my younger daughter's soccer team, and assistant coach my older daughter's softball team. It's fun, and lets me spend more time with my kids - the joys of my life.

From Chuck:
I left Wilton HS for my senior year and attended a private school in Lake Placid. This gave me a chance to get my grades up and do a lot of skiing. I came home and took a job in the construction field for the summer. The following winter, I headed up to Magic Mountain to work and ski. It was there that the Director of the mountain told me “When you can ski a frozen rope you should be out West”. He inspired me to put my extreme ski skills to the test and move to Squaw Valley, California-the extreme ski capital of the U.S. A few parties and tipping a few frosties with some locals, and I found myself skiing the next two years with some U.S. freestyle team members and some Warren Miller film stars. It was a good life flipping burgers and skiing the bumps. In 1985, I moved back east, it was time to get a “real” job. I moved to Hartford and worked part time at a ski shop, while putting myself through school. I took an apartment with 5 girls, (I strongly recommend this). It was there that one of my roommates took me to a Christmas party and introduced me to her boss: Jean. Jean was an avid skier and it was love at first sight. I graduated school with a degree in electrical engineering and took a job with General Instruments, I worked in the division to support the Connecticut lottery. In 1992, Jean and I moved to Gorham, Maine. I worked in real estate and construction during the summers and worked on the ski patrol at Sunday River for the winters. In May of 1994, Jean and I married on the ocean on Georgetown Island, Maine. We moved to Hopewell Junction, New York in October of 1995. In December of 1996, we were blessed with the birth of our daughter Ciara Lynn, and 20 months later we were blessed again when Charles Franklin Gray III was born. I worked at IBM for a few years and then left to pursue my dream of starting my own company. In September of 2001, I started Pitch Perfect Propeller, Inc. In 2004, I moved my company from New York to Stamford CT. My business continues to grow and I get to play on boats everyday. Last year, I partnered with a friend in a brokerage business and just last week penned an agreement to be the exclusive Connecticut distributor for a new line of fishing boats. I am fortunate to be able to work in the marine industry as well as spend weekends on the family yacht “Sea Air Ahh”. For the most part, I have hung up my skis and taken up snowmobiling. I still enjoy skiing with the kids, but alas, the body is old, the back is sore, the knees are shot, and the belly is fat. See you all soon.

Hi everyone! It was great catching up at the reunion! For those of you I missed, I graduated from UConn (go huskies!) in '85 and went to work for P&G. I met my husband Jim, a fellow husky graduate, and we married in '88. In '96 I took some time off to be at home with our two daughters, Emily and Megan who are now 13 and 11. In 2002 I went back for my masters in Marriage and Family therapy and now have a private practice in downtown Stamford. A big thanks to George for keeping us together. All the best, Marion

From Holly:
I just don't believe 25 years has passed. My parents' 50th wedding anniversary is next week, so I guess it must be true. So! Here goes: I started college at Southern CT at 16 (I was sure I was a very mature girl - LOL!). Ultimagely I graduated with a degree in film from the University of Pittsburgh. I worked in NYC for a commercial production company and then moved with a friend to LA. The most exciting part of that was that I got to bring friends on one of those golf carts all over Universal Studios for my version of the Univeral Tour. I ended up in Boston and went to design school at a local art college and became Web Designer for an interactive agency up there. I transferred in '99 to our NYC office where I got to design the American Express Blue website. I specialized in web animation (see, dad? I did get to use my degree finally!) I got very lucky and met my husband, Ramon, in early 2000. He's the first Cuban I ever dated (I'm half Cuban myself). My mother was thrilled because his folks are great cooks. We were married in February of 2001 and I was lucky enough to get pregnant almost immediately. Now the sad part. My sister, Debby, took her own life in early September 2001. She actually died 4 days before 9/11. That month kinda sucked for my family. She was Bi-Polar her whole life and we can only hope that she is in a happier place. We were all truly blessed with my son, Marcos, who was born 4 months later. He's a character and is still the only grandchild on both sides (can you say spoiled?) It cracks us up because he's 3/4 Cuban with dark blonde hair and blue eyes! (He takes after my Irish dad.) In addition to being a full-time mom, I have recently started a home business converting home video to dvd. I call myself the DVD Chick. I am very much looking forward to this reunion! I went to Wilton schools from nursery school through high school. There are so many faces I see browsing through here that I had totally forgotten! Thanks for all the hard work, George! You've really done a great job.

Come visit if you're near central Maine. I work for a really neat environmental consulting firm as a part-owner. I have a fun, healthy 3-yr-old son. My wife, from New Haven, and I moved up here in 1996 but we both miss CT sometimes and return frequently. See you in a few weeks I hope.
